About us

We grow tiny, powerful greens in our small local farm in Arcola so they can go from seed to salad in a matter of hours — not miles.

Wonder Greens began with a simple belief: a small-town farm can make everyday food feel extraordinary. We sow, tend, harvest, and pack each tray by hand, working with the seasons and shipping fresh whenever we can. Local drop-off arrangements are also available by request. That means brighter flavor, less distance, and a closer relationship with the people who eat what we grow.

About me

Tammy Mensinger

Founder · Arcola, Saskatchewan

My name is Tammy Mensinger, and I live in Arcola, Saskatchewan. I've always been passionate about clean eating and about growing and preserving healthy meals with quality ingredients. Tammy's Garden began with a close friend who shared that same passion. When her growing family changed the direction of her time and goals, she gave me the opportunity to carry the idea forward. I recreated it as Wonder Greens with the support of an amazing, like-minded woman, my kitchen window, a few trays, a lot of curiosity, and a stubborn belief that people here shouldn't have to settle for greens that spent a week in a truck before reaching the shelf.

I wanted to build something rooted in this community. Living on the prairies means long winters and a short growing season, and I kept thinking about how good it would feel to have something green, fresh, and genuinely local available all year — not just in August. Microgreens turned out to be the answer: they grow indoors in days, pack an incredible amount of flavour and nutrition into a small harvest, and let me farm year-round in a space the size of a spare room.

My dream for Wonder Greens is to grow it into a small farm that genuinely supports my family while making healthy eating easier for my neighbours. I want to supply local kitchens and restaurants, show up at farmers' markets with trays still damp from harvest, and help families in southeast Saskatchewan get fresh, nutrient-packed food without a two-hour drive. I'd love for kids around here to taste a pea shoot straight off the tray and realize that vegetables can be exciting.

Beyond that, my goal is to farm in a way I can be proud of — growing clean without pesticides, keeping waste low, using less water than field farming ever could, and being honest about how everything is grown. Wonder Greens is my way of sharing my home, heart, and passion with others, one fresh harvest at a time. Thank you for supporting a small local farm.
